Tina Sorrentino is determined to educate others by sharing her experience about the heartbreak of drug abuse.
The Glassport resident lost her 23-year-old son, Anthony, to the drug epidemic three years ago. She and her family were caught off guard when they discovered her son’s addiction. Anthony was an honor student, an athlete and never showed any signs of drug abuse.
“We are proof that it can happen to anyone,” she said. “Drugs can affect anyone in any situation.”
Sorrentino volunteers with the SA Reality Tour, sharing her story to help educate others.
On the first Thursday of each month at the Club 22 banquet hall in Glassport, school-aged children and their parents are invited to attend a dinner and have a real discussion about the perils of drug addiction.
