Fifteen-year-old Devon McGhen wants to make Christmas the most wonderful time of the year for those who might not feel that special cheer year-round.
For the second year, the Port Vue sophomore is gathering gently used or new clothing for a Christmas coat drive.
Along with his mother, Tawnya Vayda, and his grandmother, Denise Schultz, McGhen will hand deliver the cozy and much-needed articles to the homeless in Pittsburgh.
“It’s cold in my room already,” McGhen said. “I can’t imagine how cold the homeless are. I just want them to be warm and safe.”
