Serra’s Black signs with St. John’s

It was a highly anticipated moment, but Mark Black finally put the pen to the paper.
The Serra Catholic baseball standout made his college commitment official Wednesday afternoon as he signed his national letter of intent to continue his academic and baseball careers at Division I St. John’s University.
Black, the reigning Mon Valley Independent-BeeGraphix Dirty Dozen Baseball Player of the Year, initially made his verbal commitment to play for the Red Storm prior to his sophomore season at Serra Catholic.
