Despite loss, Leps took ‘next step’

Every football coach and player dreams of building a program and establishing a winning tradition.
They practice every day in the best and worst conditions, embark on countless hours of film study away from the practice field and put everything they have into preparation in order to succeed under the Friday night lights.
Over the years, fifth-year head coach Matt Humbert and the Belle Vernon Area Leopards have worked to take the next step with the program.
Each year, that “next step” has seemingly meant something different.
