Glassport Council: Schinosi, DiMarco remembered

At Tuesday’s meeting, Glassport council remembered two borough fixtures who died in the past week.

Former Councilman Angelo Schinosi died Monday at age 88 and Councilman Terry P. “Chookie” DiMarco passed away Nov. 13 at age 68.

A wreath and picture were on DiMarco’s seat during the meeting as a moment of silence was held in honor of both men.

DiMarco began his career in Glassport in 2000 and wore many hats over the past 19 years. He was a councilman, president of council, mayor and building inspector.  

He was appointed to council in 2000 and served through 2005. He became mayor in 2006 and was appointed again to council when his term expired in 2009.
