Two Ringgold Elementary School South students are among the 10 students recognized by the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation for their artwork.
Third-grader Alissa Rotta, and fourth-grader Nicholas Stasko entered artwork in the Penguins Foundation holiday card contest through their art teacher, Jan Dongilli.
Darya Snoznik of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation said this is the fifth year for the contest.
“We reach out to our contacts in 22 counties,” Snoznik said. “This year we have had 10 winners in five counties.”
Snoznik said the two Ringgold students were the only winners selected in Washington County.
