Mary Mandarino – Monessen
Mary Mandarino, 97, of Monessen, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, at her home. She was born on Sept. 12, 1922, in Webster, the daughter of the late George and Mary Pastirak Stofcik. Mary grew up in Webster, attended St. Dominic’s School in Donora and was a 1940 graduate of Rostraver High School. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen and its Epiphany Ladies. Mary enjoyed bowling and bowled until she was 80 years old with the Starlettes Bowling League. She loved to read and most of all spend time with her family. She is survived by a daughter, Diana Fausnaugh of Wilmington, Del.; four sons, Richard D. Mandarino of Monessen, Frank (Bette) Mandarino of Scottsdale, Ariz., Larry (Janet) Mandarino of Monessen, Ronald Mandarino of Monessen; 10 grandchildren, Laura Novobilsky, Natalie (Charlie) Tucci, Craig (Julie) Fausnaugh, Scott Fausnaugh, Matthew (Carola) Mandarino, Philip Mandarino, Aaron Mandarino, Marla Mandarino, Adam (Emily) Mandarino, Courtney Mandarino; 13 great-grandchildren, Kara, Kevin, Audrey, Amanda, Bryce, Katie, Emma, Maddy, Sadie, Sophia, Cadence, Colin and Evelyn; sister-in-law, Helen Mandarino of Bridgeville; brother-in-law, Raymond (Dolores) Mandarino of Las Vegas, Nev.; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard F. Mandarino; a daughter, Kathleen; two brothers, Stephen and the Rev. John Stofcik; and by a sister, Sister M. Stella. Friends will be received in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. & CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday Dec. 6, 2019. Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 beginning with a 9:30 am blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen, with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Monessen.
