Elementary and middle school students from Mary of Nazareth Catholic School in White Oak will tell the story of the birth of the Christian Messiah on Sunday.
The school’s annual “drive-through living Nativity” will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. on the school campus and the St. Angela Merici Church at 1640 Fawcett Ave.
School spokeswoman Amy Sullivan said there are 45 students who are “excited to portray each role with the guidance of our dedicated faculty and volunteers.”
Behind the scenes, Sullivan said, dedicated volunteers help with various tasks, such as costuming and giving direction.
“Unlike any other live Nativity in the area, visitors are invited to enter our campus and encouraged to remain in their vehicles,” Sullivan said. “Our guests drive through the route, which will ultimately lead them to the scene depicting the live Nativity.”
