Skobel leads Charleroi past Clairton

Bella Skobel scored a game-high 25 points to help catapult Charleroi past Clairton, 46-41, on day one of the Cougars’ home tournament Friday.
Cierra Gazi added 10 points for Charleroi (1-0), which led 21-15 at halftime. The Cougars were narrowly outscored by the Bears (0-1) in the second half by a 26-25 margin.
Tayler Jackson had 14 points to lead the way for Clairton.
Charleroi will play Carmichaels in today’s championship game at 7:30 p.m.
