A Monessen woman accused of stabbing another woman nine times during a fight Nov. 25 caused a ruckus before her preliminary hearing Friday.
Tiffany Grogan, 37, also known as Tiffany Howard, of Highland Manor was held for court on single counts of criminal attempted homicide and aggravated assault, three counts each of simple assault and harassment and four counts of recklessly endangering another person. She had a hearing Friday before Magisterial District Judge Herbert Mitchell in Monessen.
Before being brought into the courtroom Friday, Grogan was detained in a holding cell at the district court office.
Grogan was escorted from the holding area in handcuffs by a Westmoreland County Sheriff and was detained inside a prisoner transport van until the start of her hearing. As she was being escorted to the van, Grogan was shouting, “They’re putting me in the van. That’s neglect.”
