Anytime two teams from the Mon Valley get together, there is sure to be a great atmosphere and great fan support.
Such was the case Wednesday as Ringgold visited California for a non-section game.
The teams and their stars didn’t disappoint the large crowd in the Trojans’ gym.
The Rams used a big second half and a career-high 31 points from Luke Wyvratt to break open a tight game and defeat the Trojans, 62-48.
Demetrius Butler (19) and Chris Peccon (12) also hit double figures for Ringgold while Cal’s star Malik Ramsey led his team with 23.
“We kind of knew what to expect, we see a couple of these kids in the summer (Grebb) league,” said California coach Aaron Balla. “We played well. We just have some little details about our gameplan we need to fine tune. I think we’ll be fine in the section.”
