Belle Vernon Area boys basketball coach Joe Salvino is still waiting for his team to play a complete game.
However, the Leopards are making progress.
BVA shot nearly 50% from the field and forced 24 turnovers in defeating Greensburg Central Catholic, 88-61, at the Westmoreland County Coaches Association (WCCA) Showcase at Hempfield High School on Saturday.
The Leopards (3-2) started both halves fast and the Centurions (3-2) did not have an answer for their depth.
“We came out fast in the third quarter and I thought we did a good job,” Salvino said. “They were a little bit better today.”
