The Brothers Grimm are hitting the stage over the next two weekends for the McKeesport Little Theater Juniors production of “Into the Woods.”
The tale by James Lapine and score by Stephen Sondheim will take theater goers through an epic mishmash fairytale about wishes, family and the choices we make.
The story features several well-known fairy tale characters, but specifically follows a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child but have to break a witch’s curse; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s festival; and Jack of “Jack and the Beanstalk,” who wishes his cow — named Milky White — would produce milk.
Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their granted wishes return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
