Nancy Ann Swoger – Monongahela
Nancy Ann Swoger, 89, of Monongahela, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 in the Manor Care Health Services, Peters Township. She was born May 5, 1930 in Monongahela, the daughter of Horace L. and Anna Mae Voelker Yohe. Nancy was a 1948 graduate of Monongahela High School and a member of True Vine Anglican Church in Monongahela. Years ago, while at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, she was in charge of sending get well cards to the sick. Nancy also enjoyed attending the First United Methodist Church in Monongahela. She retired with 25 years of employment as a teller at Equibank in Monongahela. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She is survived by three nieces, Paula Yohe, Johnnie Yohe and Twila Ramsden; six nephews, Bobby, Bill, H. L. and David Yohe, Rod and Tom Ellsworth; three great-nieces, Katie Yohe, Cassie and Hanah Ellsworth; two great-nephews, Chad Ramsden and Bill Yohe Jr.; and great-great-nephew, William C. Yohe III. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Swoger, who died Jan. 31, 2017; four brothers, Paul V., Samuel P., Olin R. and Calvin V. Yohe; and a nephew, Timmy Yohe. Friends will be received 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at noon with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.
