An odd start to the night left the rest of the game on tilt.
From a technical foul assessed in pregame to a 20-point comeback, a wild week for Thomas Jefferson continued with a fourth-quarter finish for the ages in a 64-58 victory for the Jaguars boys basketball team. A dunk by a Thomas Jefferson player in warmups resulted in a technical foul, sending Ringgold to the line to shoot free throws before any time had run off the clock.
But it was Ringgold who dunked on the Jaguars in the first half. A night after Thomas Jefferson handed Trinity its first section loss of the season, thanks in part to a 26-point performance from Shane Stump.
The Rams rolled out to a 15-7 lead in the first quarter and doubled up on Thomas Jefferson, 32-16, at half. A balanced scoring effort in the first continued into the second quarter with Luke Wyvratt and Chris Peccon leading the way with 10 points each going into the half.
