Alice J. Eichler, 99, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, at Kirkwood Senior Living in Orange, Calif. She was born in East Pittsburgh on May 29, 1920, and lived in Rostraver Township for many years. Alice was predeceased by her husband, Thomas H. Eichler, and her son-in-law, James Pollak. Alice and her husband were avid golfers and had the pleasure of golfing on many courses. She was an exceptional homemaker and mother to her two children, Bonnie Pollak and Thomas Eichler (Diana), who survive her. Alice is also survived by six grandchildren, Kimberly Rick, Pam Gardner, Holly Nilson, Jeremy Eichler, Katie Jones and Meg Karras; her eight great-grandchildren, Garrett, Jenna, Brach, Trey, Natalie, Sophie, William and Oliver; as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. for a funeral Mass on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, in the Church of St. Anne, Rostraver Township, with the Rev. David J. Nazimek presiding. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to JAMES C.
