Bad practice, bad game for Thomas Jefferson

After a couple of lackluster practices earlier in the week, Thomas Jefferson head coach Dom DeCicco was able to foresee what would happen Friday night.
The veteran head coach watched in frustration as Trinity rolled into TJ’s gym and manhandled the Jaguars, 76-56, to earn a split of the season series in Section 2-5A play.
“The way we practiced the last two days, I saw that coming,” DeCicco said. “We got what we deserved. We just stunk. The bottom line is they outworked us, they executed and they wanted it a lot more than we did.”
TJ (12-7, 8-4) trailed by double figures at the end of each quarter and, at times, struggled to convert on key offensive opportunities.
Meanwhile, Trinity (12-7, 7-5) dominated, scoring 16-plus points in every quarter and relying on a balanced offensive attack led by Michael Koroly.
