Business owners in Jefferson Hills may soon feel the effects of zoning ordinance changes.
At Monday’s meeting, council heard from John Trant, the borough’s planning consultant, about pending changes and overhauls to the zoning ordinance and maps.
According to Trant, the process to revise the zoning ordinances and maps has been in the works for three years after the borough’s comprehensive plan recommended making the changes.
“One of the goals was to simplify the zoning map and address the multiple and overlapping zoning districts and to update the ordinance overall to help aid with the borough, property owners and applicants to the borough for development to understand all the regulations that apply to uses and development,” Trant told council.
