Washington County is “where it’s happening.”
What does “it” mean?
According to county officials, a little bit of everything.
More than 400 business leaders gathered Thursday at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe in Canonsburg to discuss the past year and future growth in the county.
To emphasize this growth, Washington County Commissioners spoke of several county-wide success stories and areas where they plan on improving in the coming year.
Leaders said the county continues to be a leader in energy production and industrial/commercial development and is maintaining economic growth, job creation and major expansions in the manufacturing sector.
Specifically, commissioners highlighted 107 economic development projects that accounted for almost $514 million in capital investment throughout the county in 2019.
