A man attempting to repossess a vehicle in McKeesport was killed after he got pinned under a tow truck early Tuesday.
Andrew Sester, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office. McKeesport police and paramedics were called to the 2000 block of Monongahela Avenue around 4:45 a.m.
Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit determined foul play is not suspected based on footage from surveillance cameras on the tow truck.
Police said Sester worked for International Recovery Systems, a repossession company, and was repossessing a pick-up truck.
Police said after Sester removed the truck from the property, he stopped a short distance away to secure the tow and alert his dispatch center.
