A Crisis Intervention Team was at Belle Vernon Area High School Tuesday after the unexpected death of a student.
In a letter sent to parents and guardians Tuesday, Principal Michael E. Sable said a student, who has not been identified, died Monday.
“This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns and questions for our entire school, especially our students,” the letter states.
Sable said counselors will be available for students and personnel who need assistance coping with the loss.
“We encourage you, as parents, to also feel free to use our resources,” the letter said.
