Phyllis Williams, 73 of Monessen, departed this life suddenly on Feb.17, 2020. She was born on May 24, 1946, the daughter of the late Kathryn and James Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Williams; and two brothers, Paul Loines Sr. and Robert Cunningham. Phyllis had a huge heart, loved to laugh, and when it came to reminiscing, she always had a great story to share, especially about the good old days. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Monessen, where she formerly served as church clerk and on the usher board. Phyllis retired from Westmoreland County Community College in Greensburg after 26 years of service. Left to cherish Phyllis’ memory is her son, Erik Dupree of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Barbara Woodson and husband Louis Sr., a devoted brother-in-law; sister Audrey Cunningham, all of Monessen; and sister-in-law Mary Loines of Cleveland, Ohio. Also surviving are five nieces and nephews, 17 great-nieces and great-nephews, along with a host of great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, cousins, church family and devoted friends. Viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, with pastor Bishop Karl Jackson officiating. Interment at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
