The Allegheny County Health Department has added a map to its COVID-19 website that contains geographic information on where positive cases are located in the county, by municipality.
The map, which can be found at www.alleghenycounty.us/Health-Department/Resources/COVID-19/COVID-19, shows that people who live in Upper Mon Valley communities in Allegheny County have tested positive for the coronavirus.
The map indicates that there have been two positive cases identified in Glassport and one in Elizabeth borough.
No further information about the cases in Glassport and Elizabeth was available, but in an “Allegheny Alert” notification, ACHD said it is working to provide additional demographic information and details.
The map states that no cases have been identified in McKeesport, Elizabeth and Forward townships, or Dravosburg, Jefferson Hills, Lincoln, Liberty, Pleasant Hills, Port Vue, Versailles and White Oak boroughs.
The City of Pittsburgh had the highest total of any municipality in the county, with 59 positive cases of COVID-19. Of the 130 municipalities in Allegheny County, 47 of them had at least one reported case as of Friday.
