Allegheny County Police Department’s accident reconstruction unit is investigating after a man died as a result of a two-car accident that occurred in White Oak on Thursday.
White Oak police and White Oak EMS were dispatched to the 3000 block of Jacks Run Road (state Route 48) near one of the entrances to White Oak Park at 3:55 p.m. for a vehicle collision.
On scene, they discovered a 59-year-old male, who was not identified prior to presstime, trapped in a 2011 Nissan Sentry.
“Paramedics attempted life saving measures, but the victim died at the scene,” ACPD Lt. Venerando Costa said.
He said investigators have determined that a 2007 Isuzu box truck bearing the logo of the TruGreen company and driven by a 27-year-old unidentified female was traveling east on Jacks Run Road prior to the accident occurring.
