Gertrude A. Buckholt, 85, of Fallowfield Township, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020, in her home. A daughter of the late Richard and Anna Horn Erbe, she was born on April 15, 1934. Gertrude was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Coal Center. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Cindy Cholak of Friday Harbor, Wash., and Chris and Fred Merashoff of Fallowfield Township; four grandchildren, Bryan (Heidi) Cholak, Benjamin (Kait) Cholak, Kaitlyn (Eddie) Cwiertniewicz and Jason (Rachael) Merashoff; three great-grandchildren, Charlie and James Cholak and Daxton Cholak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Buckholt, on April 14, 2018. The family wishes to thank Concordia Hospice of Washington: Judi, Bebe, Asa, Joyce and Angie; and Granny Nannies of Monongahela: Rachael, Frankie, Rosalyn, Jessica, Sherri, Julie and Victoria for their compassionate care. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, services were private. Burial was in Monongahela Cemetery.
