Loretta E. Mitchner – Rostraver Township, formerly of R.D. Coal Center
Loretta E. Mitchner, 78, of Rostraver Township, formerly of R.D. Coal Center, passed away suddenly to be with the Lord on Feb. 29, 2020, while visiting her niece in New Jersey. She was born July 10, 1941, in Charleroi, the daughter of the late Earl and Julia Puskas Tordy Lunt and wife of the late Donald H. Mitchner, to whom she was married 49 years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Somerville, N.J. Loretta worked In her early years as a waitress at Twin Coaches and in housekeeping at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Elizabeth Lynn, Johanna Semancik, Eleanor Fiorino, Joseph Tordy, Helen Jadik, Vernice Howarth, Vivian Bachinski, Anna Mae Baumgardner, Rhuel Lunt and James Lunt Smith. Loretta is survived by her brother, Leslie Lunt (Linda); and niece, Laurie Lash (Dave) of Rostraver and her niece, Lana Fuller (Skip) of Somerset, N.J. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Loretta loved going to church, the senior center, playing bingo, auctions and vacations with her brother and his family. She will be deeply missed by all her knew and loved her. Due to the COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date at her church in N.J. A private interment will be held in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
