After a special meeting last week to approve a preliminary 2020-21 spending plan and virtual learning coming to a close, Charleroi Area School board directors approved several personnel and educational resolutions Tuesday to gear up for next year.
Directors unanimously approved the final list of 2020 high school graduates and a work release program for high school seniors.
They will continue several agreements in 2020-21 with Merakey Pennsylvania, a developmental, behavioral health and education non-profit provider, and the Washington Drug and Alcohol Commission Inc. student assistance program, Blueprints Pre-K to lease a space, Harris School Solutions to provide education management software through the district and to The Nutrition Group for an extended three-year contract to provide food services within the district.
New advanced placement chemistry textbooks will be purchased for next year for $3,549.
Directors also unanimously agreed to hire Megan Kasimirsky as the Charleroi Area Elementary Center speech and language pathologist, Paul Simon as a Title 1 Reading Specialist and Gabriella Savarno as a volunteer intern.
