Louisa O. Laskey – Charleroi
Louisa O. Laskey, 95, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2020, at the Dunlevy Manor Personal Care Home in Dunlevy. The daughter of the late Emile and Olga Vandronne Delestienne, Louisa was born on Oct. 15, 1924, in North Charleroi. A devoted Catholic, she was a long-time member of Mary Mother of the Church (St. Andrew the Apostle) in Charleroi. Louisa is survived by her daughter, Donna (Louis) Vaira of Ayer, Mass., and grandchildren Luanne, Linda, Lisa and Louisa; a daughter-in-law, Pauline (son, Kenneth “Gizmo,” deceased) Laskey of Charleroi and grandchildren Kenneth, Keith, Catherine and Timothy; her daughter, Mary Jo (Ray) Curley of Savage, Md., and grandchildren Raymond, Ronald, Erin and Leanne; her daughter, Veronica (Tom) Pivovarnik of Lancaster and grandchildren Tom, Carrie and Rachel; her daughter, Barbara (Andy) Temoshenka of Belle Vernon and grandchildren, Andrew and Ryan; her daughter, Patricia (Barry, deceased) Brinker of Charleroi and grandchildren Melissa and Brittany; her daughter Louisa (Kevin) Mollis and grandchildren Kara, Kourtney and Kevin Luke; her daughter, Joanne (Bill) Wiltz of Charleroi and grandchildren Frank, Cristina, Derek and Roman; her daughter, Kathleen (Scott) Conte of Gibsonia and grandchildren, Matthew, Luke and Michael; and a son, Joseph (Linda Ford) Laskey of Charleroi and grandchildren Joseph and Joshua. She is also survived by her sister, Gay Lee Massey; 44 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Louisa was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Laskey; a sister, Rachel Hrutkay; and her brothers, Emile and George Delestienne. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 25, and 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 26, in SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A funeral Mass of Catholic faith will be held at 10 a.m. June 27, 2020, at Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish, 624 Washington Ave., Charleroi. Masks are required when entering the funeral home and are required in the church. Family and friends attending the funeral services are asked to go directly to the church.
