Although the school board still has to decide what attending school at McKeesport Area School District will look like, the district’s administrators and staff are preparing to head back to class.
MASD has issued several reminders to help parents and students stay informed about important events, dates and registration information as the 2020-21 school year approaches. Last week, the district announced the first day of school has been changed to Aug. 26.
New students
Beginning today, McKeesport Area School District is offering two ways for parents to register new students for the 2020-21 school year while practicing social distancing.
For the remainder of the summer, MASD’s community liaisons and registrar will offer socially distanced registration on the front lawn of the administration building at 3590 Oneil Blvd. It will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday through the first day of school, weather permitting.
Parents and future MASD students who attend must wear masks. Those who are not able to or do not feel comfortable attending the open-air registration sessions are encouraged to register online at https://skyward.iscorp.com/McKeesportPAStuSTS/NewStudentEnrollment/NewGuardianLoginRequest.
