A federal grand jury in Pittsburgh has indicted 26 western Pennsylvania residents, including two McKeesport men, following a wiretap investigation into alleged drug trafficking and gun violence by the “Shot Boyz” gang.
The grand jury returned two separate but related indictments Friday following a five-month wiretap investigation into drug trafficking and violence in and around Wilkinsburg and the East Hills neighborhood in Pittsburgh, U.S. Attorney Scott Brady said.
The indictments charge 26 area residents with narcotics trafficking and firearms violations.
The first indictment, returned Aug. 19 and unsealed Friday, names Donshae Dunning, 32, and Dominic Fields, 33, both of McKeesport, along with Donald Hantz, 37, Mandee Kozar, 34, Barbara McClure, 46, Nikki Sherback, 35, and Patrick Smith, 36, all of Latrobe; Jeffrey Tumer, 29, and Garrett Weaver, 38, both of Monroeville; Marcus Best, 27, and Marquille Wright, 25, both of Munhall; Bryan Matthews, 31, of Penn Hills; Tyric Allen, 25, Phillip Ahmad-Revis, 20, Davon Cleveland, 20, Davon Loveings, 29, Tayvon Mattox, 20, Jerome Pleasant-Simpson, 25, Parris Scott, 20, Robert Smiley, 30, Jeremy Winfield, 25, all of Pittsburgh; Djuan Beasley, 20, of Swissvale; Seth Lindsey, 26, of Verona; and Taire Hardeman, 20, and Natrell Jeffries, 21, both of Wilkinsburg, as defendants.
That indictment states that the defendants are collectively the members and associates of a group of drug traffickers identifying themselves as “Shot Boyz,” “Drive Boyz,” and/or “OTS.”
Court records state that over the five month period, the Shot Boyz sold large quantities of fentanyl in Pittsburgh and surrounding neighborhoods, including East Hills, Homewood, and Wilkinsburg. Associates of the Shot Boyz also distributed fentanyl in Latrobe.
In order to further their drug trafficking operation, and to protect themselves, their drugs and their proceeds from drug trafficking, members of the Shot Boyz obtained and possessed firearms, the indictment states.
