TJ boys soccer team ready for season of change

Entering his 28th season at Thomas Jefferson, head boys soccer coach Doc Kulish has never seen a season quite like the one 2020 will be.
Just getting on the field has been enough of a challenge, but his Jaguars are looking forward to playing their first game soon.
“It has been hard to practice with all the ups and downs, whether we are playing or not,” Kulish said. “It has been really disheartening waiting, but we’ve adapted to it. The kids are really diligent wearing the masks off the field. Kids are resilient, they just want to play soccer.”
Another reason the season will be different is the change in section for Thomas Jefferson (9-6-4, 6-3-3 in Section 4-3A last season).
The Jaguars do not have a section opponent this season that was in their section previously.
They join Section 3-3A with Albert Gallatin, Belle Vernon Area, Greensburg Salem, Laurel Highlands, Ringgold, Trinity and Uniontown.
“We have moved into a new section, I am uncertain what teams are like,” Kulish said. “ We are not accustomed to their play. It’s going to be challenging with Belle Vernon Area, Ringgold and Trinity.”
