Linda L. Smith – Charleroi
Linda L. Smith, 74, of Charleroi, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1946, in New Eagle, the daughter of the late Della Fawcett Corbett. Linda earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Penn State University and was employed as a registered nurse at Monongahela Valley Hospital, where she retired. In her free time, she loved going on cruises with her family. She is survived by her husband, Walter M. Smith, with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage on July 15, 2020; daughter, Robin Lee Davis and son, Matthew M. Smith, both of Charleroi; grandson, Joseph M. School; three sisters and two brothers, Cindy and husband Paul Romito of Webster, Bob and wife Leslie Corbett, Kathy and husband Dan Hamilton, Kim and husband Dave Barkey, all of Monongahela, and Kevin and wife Cassie Corbett of Waipahua, Hawaii. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Fawcett; and two sisters, Deb Gray and Kelly Lessman. Following Linda’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC. is in charge of the arrangements.
