Glenn’s four TDs lead McKeesport past New Castle

After being manhandled on its home field last week, McKeesport rebounded in a big way with a 49-27 win over visiting New Castle at Weigle-Schaeffer Stadium Friday in a nonconference affair.
Terrance Glenn atoned for last week’s performance, running for 139 yards and four touchdowns for the Tigers.
Keyshawn Humphries added 89 yards on 16 carries for the Tigers (1-1) with a touchdown and Kenneth Thompson finished with 76 yards and a score.
The McKeesport defense held the Red Hurricanes scoreless in the second half after allowing 20 points in the second quarter.
Glenn scored on runs of 6, 30, 1 and 65 yards.
Humphries opened the scoring with a 3-yard run in the first quarter before New Castle’s Allen Bradley returned a Glenn fumble for a touchdown to tie the score.
McKeesport took a 28-21 lead late in the second after Kenneth Thompson scored on a 64-yard run.
