Belle Vernon officials are hoping for help in identifying vandals who ransacked buildings at Brewer Field over the weekend.
Mayor Gerald Jackson said the incident happened sometime between Thursday night and Monday morning.
Photos of the damage posted online show Easter eggs smashed on the ground and the glass of a popcorn machine shattered.
Damage was not isolated to the inside the building.
A box of light bulbs was stolen from inside and shattered in the parking area and on the field.
Damage was reported to the borough Monday by residents who walk their dogs in the area.
“It’s trashed,” Jackson said. “And the sad part is, it is most likely kids. It’s not the first time it happened either.”
Jackson said the first incident of vandalism occurred about a month ago when locks to the building were broken.
“There is a hole in the fence and they came through it and got into the building,” he said. “We leave one side to the ball field open because there are residents who like to walk their dogs in the area. They got away with it the first time and came back again.”
