MaryAda Miller Zaucha – Selinsgrove, Pa., formerly of North Charleroi and Belle Vernon
MaryAda Miller Zaucha, 90, of Selinsgrove and formerly of North Charleroi and Belle Vernon passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, at The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove. MaryAda was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Monessen, a daughter of William J. and Evelyn P. DeSellerns Miller. On Aug. 12, 1952, she married Bernard Zaucha of Zaucha’s Food Market, North Charleroi. She attended Monessen High School and graduated in 1947. MaryAda worked at Mayview State Hospital as a psychiatric aide where she retired with more than 20 years employment. She moved to Selinsgrove in 2005 and was a member of St. Pius X Church. There she became involved as a Eucharistic Minister, lector and found peace attending Eucharistic Adoration. She enjoyed baking and cooking, along with the challenge of completing the Sunday crossword puzzle and spending time with her “grand-dogs,” Funder, Lindie and Oliver. Surviving are her sister, Evelyn Sedlak, of North Charleroi; sons, David (Joette) Zaucha of Canonsburg, and Christopher Zaucha of Beaver Springs, Pa.; her daughter, Clare (Michael) Cavada of Selinsgrove; and one grandson, Jeffrey Zaucha and companion Tiffany Reed of Washington, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; her parents, William and Evelyn Miller; and her brother-in-law, William Sedlak. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, at St. Pius X Church, followed by a celebration of life Mass by Father Tukura Pius Michael, O.P. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. Please observe social distancing and wearing of masks at the church. Arrangements are by the V.L. SEEBOLD FUNERAL HOME, 601 N. The family of MaryAda would like to express its deepest appreciation to the staff of The Manor at Penn Village for the care and compassion given over the many months she was there, especially during the COVID-19 quarantine when we were not able to spend time with her.
