Janet Garland Narey – Donora
Janet Garland Narey, 77, of Donora, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital in Carroll Township. She was born Dec. 18, 1942, in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Robert Hall and the late Elizabeth Muia Hall. Janet was the owner operator of the Lamode Beauty Salon in Monongahela for many years. She also worked at the family restaurant the Green Grill in Donora. Janet loved life and had a passion for cooking and gardening. She loved spending summers in her pool with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hall, on Feb. 10, 2011. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Jack Narey; daughters, Kimberly (Edward) Reeves of Belle Vernon and their children, Derek and TJ; Kathleen Garland of Bentleyville and sons, Jordan and Dalton; Colleen Garland of Ohio and sons, Pavel, Brett and Dylan; and Kelly (Brian) Franks of Belle Vernon and sons, Brian Lee and Aaron; and a great-grandson, Alexander. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St., Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at the Donora Campus of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. To be socially responsible during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to limit the attendance to 25 people inside the funeral home at any given time. Guests are asked to obey social distancing guidelines and personal protection guidelines which include masks within the funeral home.
