N. Robert Karpiak, 72, of New Eagle, died on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, in AGH Jefferson Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in North Charleroi on Aug. 20, 1948, the son of the late Nicholas and Susan Soltis Karpiak. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Robin and Robert Hixenbaugh and Shannon Harteis; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Carl Calcara; and his significant other, Mary Haskins. All services were private. Arrangements entrusted to the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.
