Officials in New Eagle say they’ve received complaints from a resident about the borough’s snow removal efforts during the Valley’s last bout of storms.
At their workshop meeting Wednesday night, council members defended the borough’s public works employees, Jason Miller and Candace Kreitzer.
The issue began when heavy snow started falling Jan. 31. Monongahela police Chief Kevin Harris confirmed the accident occurred at 5:35 p.m. when a driver lost control of his vehicle on Wood Street and slid into a house in the 100 block of Chess Street. Harris said there were no injuries to the driver or the house’s occupant.
A resident complained to council that Wood Street was not plowed properly by the borough, but some council members disagreed.
“The people who live on that particular street said they were there every half hour,” council President Jack Fine said. “This one (person) doesn’t even live on that street.”
