A balanced scoring attack and staunch defense earned Thomas Jefferson a 54-38 victory on the road at South Fayette in boys basketball on Wednesday night. The win was the 18th of the season for the Jaguars, closing out the WPIAL regular season with a third consecutive triumph, over a solid Lions team.
“That team just beat Aliquippa, they beat Trinity by 17 twice, they’re playing really good basketball and I thought our kids just locked them down in the second half and played really well,” said Jaguars head coach Dom DeCicco.
“I just like this team. They’re hard-nosed. We aren’t always going to do everything pretty but they pick each other up and hold each other accountable.”
