William T. ‘Bill’ Bogden – Savannah, Ga.
William T. “Bill” Bogden, of Savannah, Ga., passed away peacefully on Nov. 24 at the age of 81, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a devoted father, brother and friend to all. He worked his entire life in sales, most recently selling BMW automobiles in Pittsburgh for 29 years prior to moving to Georgia in 2011. He is survived by his brother, J. Robert Bogden of Monessen; and by his four children of whom he thought the world: Pamela (Charles) Usher and Craig (Celia) Bogden, both of Savannah, Ga., Brett (Gina) Bogden of Las Vegas, Nev., and Garrett (Courtney) Bogden of Lancaster, Pa. Bill also was blessed with five grandchildren of whom he was most proud: Rachel, Alexia, Seager, Abby and AJ. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Bogden, who were lifelong residents of Monessen; and many cherished friends he made along the way. Bill brightened our days with his smile and unique character. He was well known for his story-telling abilities and enjoyed sharing his experiences of how he sold cars to notable Pittsburgh athletes. He was also a fan of westerns, particularly those featuring Roy Rogers. He regularly spoke of the time he got to meet Roy and how he spent time having a conversation with him. He was often heard saying “It is what it is.” He will be greatly missed. “Happy trails to you, until we meet again.” A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
