Alma May Collin Blackburn – Fallowfield Township
Alma May Collin Blackburn, 86, of Fallowfield Township, was welcomed into the Heavenly Kingdom of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 8, 2021. She was born Oct. 4, 1934, in Monongahela, daughter of David Roland Collin and Harriett Gratton Collin. On Aug. 19, 1966, Alma married the late Clarence “Bunny” Blackburn. She was a former member of the Black Diamond Mission in Monongahela, First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, First Baptist Church of Bentleyville and was a current member of Garwood Southern Baptist Church, Daisytown. Alma was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Pioneer Club of Bentleyville and the Bentleyville Lioness Club. She was a very involved reunion committee member for the Monongahela Class of 1952. She was co-owner, with her husband Clarence Blackburn, of General Hauling and Sanitary Landfill and Clarence Blackburn Enterprises Inc. She was very active as a realtor for many years. She and her husband formerly owned and operated a small mobile home court in Fallowfield Township. Surviving are brother-in-law, Richard Blackburn (Shirleen) of O’Fallon Ill.; brother-in-law, Martin Uher of Fallowfield Township; children, Jeffrey Blackburn (Rabara) of Daisytown, Barbara Herman (James) of Bentleyville, Janie Southworth (Joseph) of Finleyville and Russell H. Blackburn II (Julie) of Monongahela; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nephews, Theodore Madden (Pam) of Virginia and Dr. Robert Daniel Collin of New Jersey. Deceased are a sister, Gladys Madden and husband Ted; brother, Robert Collin and wife Olga; sister-in-law, Lorraine Uher; and granddaughter, Darcie Leanne Herman. Final arrangements will be private and handled by the family.
