Jeffrey Michael School, 59, of Monongahela, died Sunday, May 9, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 17, 1961, in New Eagle, the son of Carol Sevick School, who survives and resides in Elizabeth Township and the late William School. Jeff was a 1979 graduate of Ringgold High School. A machinist by trade, he was employed for 18 years by Bolttech Mannings in North Versailles. Jeff had a passion for music and enjoyed being a DJ, playing in the Mon Valley and surrounding area. For many years, he played drums for The Fiddlin Around Express, Country Outlaws and The Country Jems. He also played his acoustic guitar on the radio for The Point and WDVE, as well as at the Comedy Club in Pittsburgh. In 2003, Jeff started his own band, The Klick, where he was the lead singer and acoustic guitarist. His musical career was extremely lively as the band played at the Hard Rock Cafe in Pittsburgh several times and opened for several bands, including Molly Hatchet, Blue Oyster Cult, The Clarks and his favorite show to open for was Donnie Iris, while on a Gateway Clipper cruise. Jeff loved spending time with his family and enjoyed annual vacations at Geneva on the Lake in Ohio and Myrtle Beach. Jeff will truly be missed by his family and friends. In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathleen Venanzi School, with whom he celebrated 14 years of marriage Aug. 20, 2020; three sons and a daughter, Joseph School of Yukon, Kelly Komondor and husband Jeffrey of Silverdale, Wash., John Dora and wife Christie of Fayette City, and James Dora at home; eight grandchildren, Hailey, Lucas, Micah, Jaxon, Jacob, Gabrielle, Natalia and Killian; three brothers, Bill School and wife Nancy of York, Don School and wife Ilga of Jefferson Hills, and Darrell School and wife Denise of Monongahela; uncle, Dennis Sevick and wife Luana of Moon Township; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Monongahela. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 100 Timothy Drive, Elizabeth, PA 15037 or to Special Olympics of Washington County, 2750 Boulevard of the Generals No. 24, Norristown, PA, 19403.
