Hall’s late layup lifts State Farm past Monessen Florist

Dax Thomas State Farm won a thriller in the final game of Wednesday’s doubleheader as South Fayette’s Erica Hall hit a game-winning layup with less than a second remaining.
Monessen Florist (0-2) took a brief lead as Stellanie Loutsion (Canon-McMillan) gathered in a steal and scored with seven secomds remaining to give MoFlo a one-point lead.
Hall led the way for State Farm, scoring 10 of her 14 points in the second half. She finished with a double-double, adding 11 rebounds.
Hannah Pugliese of Penn Hills was the lone Monessen Florist player to hit double digits, adding 14 points for her squad.
The Girls Division is off until July 12, when Dax Thomas State Farm will face AMD Industries in the opening game before Monessen Florist looks to bounce back against Edward Jones.
