Wilma Izzo – Monongahela
Wilma Izzo, 100, of Monongahela, passed away peacefully at her home on July 6, 2021. Born on June 2, 1921, in Connellsville, she was the daughter of the late Lindsey and Lillie Frazier. Wilma was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in 1939. She worked for The Knights Life Insurance Company Of America as an executive secretary. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and loved being with her family. Wilma is survived by two sons, Richard Izzo, at home and Edward Izzo (Laurie), of Rostraver; four daughters, Lorraine Kapolka (Dennis), of Rostraver, Mary Louise Izzo (Stephen), of Harrisburg, Janice Williams (Durk), of North Charleroi and Dorothy Martinelli, of Monongahela; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Patrick Frazier, of Connellsville. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alfred F. Izzo, on Oct. 31, 1988; two brothers, infant Raymond James Frazier and Lindsey Frazier Jr.; and four sisters, Rae Margaret Kazmarek, Dorothy Freeman, Genova Goodwin and Rosemary Shallenberger. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 9, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 624 Washington Ave., Charleroi, with interment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
