Despite a lackluster start, BeeGraphix was able to use a 36-11 run to fuel a furious comeback against Campy’s Pizza Tuesday night at Marx’s Court Time in Elizabeth Township.

BeeGraphix pulled out a 74-69 victory to set up a first-place showdown Thursday against Elite Physical Therapy on the final day of the regular season.

BeeGraphix head coach Tim Tyree was proud, but certainly not content with his teams performance.

“We definitely finished out the first half strong and jumped out early in the second half, and again, I think it’s a collective effort from top to bottom,” said Tyree “It started on defense and we were able to start running, we hit some big shots and were able to blow open the game a little bit.”

Campy’s came out firing, using a balanced scoring attack early on to jump out to a 31-14 lead with 5:50 remaining in the first half.

But the boys in black rallied behind Laurel Highlands Jayden Pratt. The sophomore forward scored 11 out of his 13 points, including a thunderous breakaway dunk, to help kick-start a 19-4 run to finish the first half.

“Pratt’s a Laurel Highlands guy, so he’s used to playing with Rod (Gallagher). Having Rod back it took away a little bit of responsibility allowing him to play his role and he really stretched the floor out tonight and hit a lot of big shots for us, ” said Tyree.
