Daniel E. Rodgers – Fallowfield Township
Daniel E. Rodgers, 94, of Fallowfield Township, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021. He was born in Braddock, on April 25, 1927, son of the late James Calvin and Eleanor Bruggeman Rodgers. Daniel graduated from Braddock High School in 1944 and went on to serve our country during World War II in the U.S. Army. While in the Army, Daniel attended the University of Pennsylvania and Virginia Military Institute (VMI). He became a 2nd Lieutenant and served in Germany from 1945-1948. Daniel was employed by Mon Valley Provision and JC Foods. He was a member of Coal Center Presbyterian Church where he served as treasurer, elder and a member of the adult Sunday school. Daniel is survived by his wife, Kathleen Kaye-Rodgers; a daughter, Renee Rodgers; a son, Daniel M. Rodgers Sr. and wife Gina Moscufo Rodgers; four grandchildren, Marissa Carlson, Daniel M. Rodgers Jr., Nathaniel J. Rodgers, Claire J. Rodgers; and three nieces, Bonnie Rodgers Anlauf, Nanette Rodgers Brenner, Carol Rodgers Zenk and families. He was preceded in death by brothers,James Regis Rodgers, George H. Rodgers and James Calvin Rodgers Jr.; and his niece, Debra Rodgers Brannagan. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, with Gary Porter officiating.
