Suspect arrested for allegedly firing gun from apartment window

A 29-year-old man surrendered to police after he allegedly fired several times from his apartment window on Union Street in California Borough Wednesday morning. Zachary T. Hooks is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person after California Borough police said he allegedly confessed to firing a .40 caliber Beretta from his apartment window.
