Regis Matthew Hudock, 59, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at the Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio, after a very brief illness. Regis was born on Feb. 8, 1962, in Pittsburgh. He was a beloved son of the late Gabriel and Monica Hudock. He was a graduate of Monongahela Valley Catholic High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He was the owner of Peacock Lane Home in Worthington, Ohio, and the Eclectiques Antique Mall in Columbus, Ohio. A devout Catholic, Regis was a member of St. Christopher Parish and he also enjoyed attending Mass at Holy Family Parish. Regis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Ryan Hudock, whom he married on March 17, 1990. Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maureen Hudock; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Mary Jo Ryan. Regis is survived by his brothers, Brian (Barb) Hudock of Dublin, Ohio, Gabriel (Gloria) Hudock of Pittsburgh and Joseph (Susan) Hudock of Carmel, Ind. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Jay (Terri) Ryan of Worthington, Ohio, and Jonathon (Gail) Ryan of Naperville, Ill.; and his sister-in-law, Julie (Tim) Tennyson of Birmingham, Ala. Regis was the treasured and proud uncle of Allie (Derek) Parker, Kaitlyn Hudock, Meghan Hudock, John (Kaitlin) Hudock, Stephen Hudock, Connor, Cameron and Colin Hudock, Jason (Rachel) Ryan, Michael (Kellie) Ryan, James Ryan and Jonathon (Mallory) Biles. He was also the great-uncle of Ben, Grace, Jack and Philip. Regis will always be remembered for his quick wit, his infectious laugh and his selfless nature. He prioritized family and friends and brought joy to every occasion. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Arrangements handled by EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST., Columbus, Ohio. The Mass of Christian burial for Regis will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at St. Christopher Parish 1420 Grandview Ave, Columbus, Ohio. Please go directly to the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the South Hills Catholic Academy, 550 Sleepy Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228.
