Monessen VFW post donates to city’s war memorial trust

When U.S. Army veteran Frank “Moe” Vizza joined the Allison Lescanac Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1190 in Monessen some 40 years ago, there were well over 90 members. Vizza, who will turn 91 Feb. 7, has watched those numbers dwindle over the years and is now among only about 35 members. He was named commander of the VFW in November.
