Scotty P. Rodriguez – Munhall, formerly of Donora
Scotty P. Rodriguez, 32, of Munhall, formerly of Donora, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. He was born July 23, 1989, in Monongahela and is the son of Frank M. “Duke” Rodriguez Jr. of New Port Richey, Fla., and Donna Kusmirak Rodriguez of Donora. Scotty was a 2007 graduate of Ringgold High School and was currently working on the batteries as a laborer at U.S. Steel’s Clairton Works. Always ready for a new adventure, he enjoyed fishing but most of all traveling together with his wife to different states. He was an avid fan and loved watching and attending both home and away Steelers games with his friend, Dave “Hammerhead.” In addition to his parents, he was survived by his wife, Wanjie Mbugua Rodriguez, whom he married Aug. 19, 2021; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Rico “Dickie” and Haley “Noodle,” who were more than cousins to him. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael M. Rodriguez, who died Feb. 12, 2015; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Florence Medina Rodriguez; and his maternal grandparents, Steve and Clara Green Kusmirak. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, with services beginning at 4 p.m. with Robert Hanna officiating.
